Hello Hoteliers!

We are thrilled to announce, that as part of the Six One Demo Days Steam Event, that we are re-launching the Hotel Architect demo! The week-long demo event kicks off tonight with a presentation and livestream, and spotlights around 250 indie developers, so we are honoured to be included within this!

What is included within the Demo?

We have been hard at work updating the demo (which we last released in November 2025), the new brand-new demo includes:

• The Gothenburg Map
• The Gothenburg Scenario (with four main objectives)
• New features and items (including balconies, fencing, outdoor items, etc).
• Then, when you've completed the demo you can continue your save in the full game!

For those of you already checked-in with us... then do not worry, we haven't forgotten about you!

Today, we have also launched the 'Dynamic Lighting Update' (v1.0.3). You can find the patch notes below:

New Additions:

• Introduced dynamic lights that can be placed by the player. Previously, lamps and fires only used emissive materials and didn't actually illuminate their surroundings.
• Added 20+ light items: garden lamps, spotlights, wall lamps etc.
• Added 2 new filter categories in Items list: Lights & Hotel signs.
• Added 3 new Chef skills: Plate Frisbee, Cutlery Ninja & Overclocked Dishwasher.

Quality of Life Improvements:

• Added a warning notification when there is no free space to place dirty dishes in the kitchen.
• Chefs/Waiters will no longer put cutlery or plates in other zones than the one they are assigned to.
• Increased storage space in Dirty dishes bench: 10 -> 15
• Chefs will now prioritize filling dishwashers that already contain the most items.
• Cleaners will now prioritize filling washing machines that already contain the most items.
• Guests can now go for a ride in the Service booth.
• A character held by the player no longer interrupts guests who are sleeping or using the toilet unless the character is actually dropped.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed bug that could cause couple characters to rate sleep quality too low.
• Various minor fixes and balance tweaks.
• Stability improvements.
